Document Information Workshop

The Fruit Basket and in collaboration with some of our Cape Town partners, including Pachedu, Gender Dynamix, UNHCR, PASSOP, and Triangle Project hosted a Docunentation/Asylum Support Workshop. The aim of the workshop was to provide support and guidance to the LGBTQI refugee community in Cape Town, particularly in navigating the new online asylum system.

The workshop also covered a range of other topics, including the rights and responsibilities of LGBTQI refugees in South Africa. It provided a safe and inclusive space for participants to learn, connect, and share their experiences with others in similar situations. By bringing together a diverse group of experts and community organizations, The Werkshop aimed to empower LGBTQI refugees and help them access the resources and information they need to build a better future for themselves.

The Fruit Basket, in collaboration with Cape Town partners such as Pachedu, Gender Dynamix, UNHCR, PASSOP, and Triangle Project, organized a Documentation/Asylum Support Workshop to assist the LGBTQI refugee community in Cape Town, focusing on navigating the online asylum system, understanding rights, and providing a safe space for learning, connection, and sharing experiences, with the ultimate goal of empowering LGBTQI refugees to access necessary resources for a better future.
